Good Fortune, Vic Park
We frequented Good Fortune in Northbridge before we became loyal customers of the outlet at East Victoria Park. A lot of people were queuing outside for weeks when the restaurant first opened its doors on Albany Hwy.
My girlfriends and I usually opted for the stir-fry green beans with mince pork as our vegetable meal and ordered the half of the boneless roast duck, roast pork & barbecue pork for sharing. My hubby is a fan of the crunchy crackling and super delicious roast pork; he usually ordered the roast pork with the rice meal when he went there, but I usually opted for meat and rice noodle. We were never let down by the taste of the food served or service.
The service was quick with little fuss and the staff cleaned up dirty tables really swiftly. Parking along Albany Hwy could be a bit of a problem, but we usually parked behind IGA since it was only about a 5 minute walk to Good Fortune. There is a bottle shop right across the road which was very advantageous since Good Fortune is a BYO restaurant.
The spacious restaurant was definitely a better option than the narrow and tight seating at the Good Fortune Northbridge. Both restaurants have a good flow of customers during dinner and lunch time either for people who ordered takeaway meals or for those who are just waiting to get a table at the restaurant. Fortunately, the turnover was quite rapid that we never waited longer than 10-15 minutes to get a table.
