High Coffee at TWR, Crown Towers
The Waiting Room (TWR) is a new bar located at the entrance of the Crown Towers. As you walk into the lobby, you can see TWR on the left-hand side. Crown Towers divide TWR into two different areas. One that looks perfect to hold a business meeting and another one with plush couches where you can relax and enjoy the afternoon.
Yoga and I went to TWR to try out their new High Coffee. If Crown Metropol has an offering of High Tea at their lobby lounge, then High Coffee is what TWR offers. It was a cool twist on High Tea.
High Coffee starts from $35 which offers you one cocktail or $50 which gives you two cocktails. TWR Staff fixed us up with Caramel Espresso Martini and warm Irish Coffee. The warm Irish Coffee was perfect for a cold wintry day. The Irish Coffee contains Vittoria Oro Gold coffee which gave a woody and vanilla flavour.
The hand-crafted desserts that we had were: coffee macaron, caramel whiskey mousse in a chocolate dome, Nutella chocolate cigar and affogato with creme brulee, coffee crumble, Baileys and chocolate. If I have to pick, my favourite dessert will be the chocolate dome with smooth and silky whiskey mousse. TWR was thoughtful in preparing their decadent desserts and Vittoria coffee pairings. The non-alcoholic option is also available at the venue.
There is no booking required if you want to enjoy the High Coffee and the menu is available every day from 12pm-5pm. Yoga and I enjoyed our time at TWR and if we didn't have any other appointments, we could've sat there for a very long time. It felt like time went slower at TWR lounge.
I'd recommend the High Coffee if you're looking for a quick dessert fix at a fabulous venue. And also if you have a weakness for coffee and chocolate!
