Modern Asian Brunch at Pachi Pachi
Pachi Pachi was one of the restaurants in Perth that serves Asian food as part of their breakfast menu. We went to Pachi Pachi with a group of friends (Mary, Jake and Wayne) and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered.
Hubby ordered the extremely delicious baked Japanese beef curry with béchamel sauce. This curry also came with an option of sourdough toast or rice and plenty of chunky beef pieces! Everyone had a taste test and they all said positive things about this dish.
I had a soft spot for rice congee so I easily decided on what to order. My rice congee came with salted duck egg white, shredded chashu chicken and really crispy Chinese donut. Unfortunately the congee was quite bland as attested by my brunch buddies. If only it was a bit more salty and peppery...
Mary ordered the prettiest dish of the day which was the taro pannacotta! We fell in love with the presentation and the plate was filled with fresh fruit salad, toasted granola and citrus anglaise. This is a perfect summer dish especially because the whole plate was just refreshing and quite light for the tummy.
Wayne ordered the "a.k.a. Egg Slut" which consisted of poached coddled egg in creamy potato salad. For $14 this dish was served with some toasted bread sticks.
Wayne had a feeling that it might not be enough so he added the $3 kransky which went really well with the whole dish. The egg slut though, was really creamy and amazing as well for the bread sticks' dip.
Pachi Pachi also opens for lunch and dinner with different items on the menu. Their menu sounds very creative and I can't wait to go back for breakfast or dinner.
Keep in mind that they only serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 8AM - 11AM. The space inside the restaurant is quite limited but they have two tables available for customers outside.
This quaint restaurant is located on 608 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park and open daily for lunch and dinner. If you're looking for something different for your next breakfast outing, why don't you give Pachi Pachi a try and explore their Modern Asian cuisines.
